learning the history of the states in a general sense will help the students learn and remember them. if they can make a connection to something they learn about the states to remember them then that will be a successful lesson.

i could see building this table for my classroom as a project. 

This could be a fantastic tool to use in an upper elementary classroom when studying world governments or general parts of the world.
